How about just a Ding in the Solar System?

What will tip the scale to a new era?

Collectively, our world needs to find the “next step”.  The industrial age lingers as technology takes the forefront of the new age, which is still propping up the industrial era … for the most part.  Today's equivalent would be Steve Jobs, when he said “I want to put a ding in the universe.”  I’m sure Napoleon Hill, author of "Think and Grow Rich," would have included Steve in his analysis of successful people.

American bred teachings of visualization to “Think and Grow Rich!” by Napoleon Hill leaves a lot to the imagination.  This, the most influential book I’ve read, was a 20-year analysis of men who were our Capitalistic founding fathers including:  H. Ford, Wrigley, Teddy Roosevelt, Schwab, Rockefeller, Edison, W. Wilson, Woolworth, Bell, and many more.  Now over 70 years old, it was commissioned by Andrew Carnegie to find out why the richest of their time made such vast fortunes.  The truth of their potential, relies on a foundation of visualization, thoughts, ideas and organized plans, which made the world a new place.

Napoleon explains that it is not just money that anyone can achieve, but the wealth of what ever may be your objective.  He himself was able to give the gift of hearing to his deaf son.  There are 13 chapters that build one upon the other, and culminate in the last chapter – mysterious at first, and may leave you a little bewildered.

But it begins to sink in over time.  I read and re-read the book several times.  Followed the exercises and a though the course of time, have found myself just about where I wanted land and now struggle to hold as many of do while the world is finding it's "next steps."

The Wealth of tomorrow may not be the same as the Rich of last generation; remembering that being rich and wealth can be two different things.  Happiness is a sort of wealth, and this training can bring you what you want most:  Money, fame, power, contentment, personality, and peace of mind or happiness.

Collectively, our world needs to find the “next step”.  The industrial age lingers as technology takes the forefront of the new age, but it is still propping up the industrial era … for the most part.  There are glimpses of spectacular development in aero, medical, social and crime technology.  But what will tip the scale to a new era?

The modern day equivalent would be Steve Jobs, when he said “I want to put a ding in the universe.”  I’m sure Napoleon Hill would have included Steve in his analysis of successful people.

This gives proof and hope to a new generation of young people wondering what the world has to offer.  I believe that there are infinite possibilities, beginning with creative preservation and sustainability of the Earth.  Technology is going to be a major factor in the care and preservation for a fragile planet.

As we all begin to “Think and Grow Rich”, the human mind’s power can provide the greatest potential  …for all of this is truly infinite.
